What affects the price of publishing a book
- Word count. Writing, editing and proofreading are priced by length, so a 30,000-word guide costs less than a 120,000-word fantasy novel.
- Starting point. A rough first draft needs more editing than a manuscript that has already been through beta readers.
- Illustrations and layout. Picture books, cookbooks and image-heavy non-fiction need more design time than text-only books.
- Formats. Each format (eBook, paperback, hardcover, audiobook) needs its own files and setup.
- Distribution and marketing. Going wide and running a launch campaign add time and specialist work.

You can book any service on its own: editing only, a cover only, formatting only or Amazon setup only. Tell us what you need on the quote form and we will price just that.
What is never included in our price
We never take a share of your royalties, never keep your rights and never charge to hand over your files. Printing costs for author copies and any advertising spend are paid by you directly to the printer or platform, so you can see exactly where your money goes.
Pricing questions
Do I pay everything up front?
No. Projects are split into stages, and payment is split the same way. You pay for each stage as it begins, and you approve the work before moving on to the next.
Will the price change after I accept the quote?
No. The quote is fixed for the scope it describes. If you later ask for extra services, we quote those separately before starting.
Can I upgrade my package later?
Yes. You can add editing, formats, distribution or marketing at any time, and we only charge for the additions.
